Bentley Jo Hair

Well -

It's been a while.

Bentley is 7 weeks old today. She is growing! 6.9 lbs and counting.

When we found out we were having another baby a little over a year ago - we were in complete shock! Never planned on having them this close. But my womb has been real testament to the fact that it is God who opens and closes the womb. This was his plan.

When she was first born, we would kid about how there was no booty cheek action going on down there at all. Just back straight to leg....no curve at all. It was actually kindof weird looking. Now her diaper will at least stay up.

Baby got back now.... I'm just sayin.

I'm posting some pictures a lot of you may have already seen. I do understand, however, that there are family members and friends who do not have facebook and want to see pictures! So...here are a couple from the hospital.

At the hospital, Shaun got to see Bentley a few times before I did - because I was in recovery and couldn't travel down to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
The first time I got to go - I asked if we could hold her. They said SURE!
Shaun looked stunned because he hadn't asked that all the times he'd been down to see her.
So I got to be there the first time he held her.
It was sweet.

The first time I saw her. She was so tiny. Such a helpless feeling.
God has been so good.
There are a lot of babies there in much much worse a state than Bentley.

Now begin the good pics. Thanks to Aunt JO.

This is real life -
She hates to curl up in a ball. So that makes for difficult pictures!
She's a wrinkled rat here....but a cute one.

Love those lips!

My prayer for her and our family - is that we will count our blessings, be grateful and share. Because even in the midst of what seems like turmoil and sad circumstances - He is there. He is good. He is glorious. He is sovereign. That is why we have hope and we can rejoice in our sufferings.

Thank you all for your prayers. I am healing, adjusting and learning. The kids are wonderful. And Shaun has been quite the helper during this time.....he loves me and makes it known. I am blessed.
