Potty Time?

Yesterday I purchased what I hope to be the last box of diapers that will be in this household for a while. Don't get me wrong, I'd welcome those little size 1 diapers for a newborn, though the people over at No Greater Joy potty train Infants. Learn how here.

I'm ready to be done with diapers on this baby, though she's not really a baby anymore....I think that's the issue here. That's why I'm potty training. She's practically an adult tee teeing in a diaper.

The size 4's are fun and all. I was noticing at the store that they go up to size 6 before pull-ups. I guess Reagan has a little hiney. She's still in 4's. Nevertheless, we will not be venturing to said 5's and 6's.

I've been talking to some friends and doing some reading that says they won't do it until they are ready and that you should wait. A lot of people have told me 3 is the best age.

Well I thought I'd beat the punch, so we tried it yesterday and....... it didn't work. She just wasn't gettng it.

I was laying in bed this morning thinking I'd give it more time. You know, wait til she's more into it. Right about that moment I heard in the monitor, my sweet little girl say: "Mommy, I tee tee, hurry, come get me, oh mommy, I tee tee in a minute." I rushed and got her...... and....... she tee teed on the potty! She had been sitting there a while and then it sounded like someone turned on a faucet. She said "hear dat?". Then she figured out it was her....I think she was surprised too.

Candy was her treat. Is it bad that she got it before breakfast?

So, I feel like we're off to a good start.

We are all wearing big girl panties over here today. Yes, even me.

Hopefully it will last.

Off to get the beeping timer and the running toddler.....time to sit on the potty!
