Old and Torn becomes Shabby Chic

Two weeks ago, my grandpa gave me this chair in exchange for some picture frames and lamps he SO needed from my yard sale.

It was a side of the road pick up.

Had old torn hunter green fake leather.

I happened to have a couple of yards of this fabric, a sander and some cream spray paint.

I got it covered, gave it a quick thin coat of paint and sanded it to distress.

Voila!

So easy. So cheap.

I absolutely love it.

So, I was thinking my Poppie got the better end of that deal....after all, the thing he gave me was free to him on the side of the road....

I've changed my mind.

Looks good! I love the shape of that chair. Did you recover it yourself or have someone do it?
